You may have noticed four new beds covered in stones and plants. They are soak-aways to help to fix the perennial problem of waterlogging by the Cambridge Road entrance. During February, Merton’s contractors dug deep pits and filled them with stones and grit to improve the drainage, and then over planted them with perennials and shrubs. Over time this should help to fix the problem.
